List, plan, muddle...Christmas
Four days left before Christmas! I'm a ridiculous list maker at the best of time but it can get out of hand at this time of the year. We haven't got any house guests this year, and although we're allowed to mix with others here we're keeping it low-key. The news from the UK, where many of our friends and family are, is so awful you can't help but feel sombre.
Advent
I have been jogging along with the countdown through my advent calendar though. Over the years I've had many different versions of the countdown. Five years ago when the kids were still fairly you we worked on The Anti-Advent Calendar where we built a little bit of a. Aussie Christmas beach scene every day. Last year I combined my list making with an illustrated calendar of fun activities. Two years ago I created a festive pattern every day in December. Most of them ended up on my Weave-up to be printed onto fabric. This is how it's going so far this year. I've shared videos of some of the stop-motion videos of them being drawn on my insta.
Melbourne Town
I'm off to the city with my youngest now to work through a few lists. It's been many many months since I went to the city though so we'll probably spend a lot of time wandering around and appreciating how magical it is.
